welcome

Our festival is premised on the belief that film is a tremendously powerful tool. A medium that is able to foster understanding, and build a more tolerant world through spreading knowledge of human rights. Democracy can only work on the basis of such knowledge.

Audiences seek now more than ever a perspective that challenges them to think through both the big societal questions and smaller individual issues that confront humanity. Independent documentary and fiction that explore social and political issues and hold us emotionally provide the bedrock to our programming.
